Serve as a Poll Worker. Apply here.
Before each statewide election, thousands of Americans sign up to help put on the single most important event we hold in a democracy. County elections officials depend on reliable, dedicated teams of poll workers to make every Election Day run smoothly. To serve as a poll worker in California you must be either a registered California voter, a legal resident of the United States who would be eligible to vote except for your citizenship status, OR an eligible high school student. A poll worker sets up and closes a polling place, helps voters understand their rights, and protects ballots and voting equipment.

Learn, educate & create community

In addition to registering or pre-registering, and signing the Future Voters Unite! pledge to vote in 2024, you can help educate others by partnering with advocacy groups or your county officials to hold registration drives - whether at your school, local library, or on the sidewalk near a busy supermarket. You can gather like-minded people in your community and participate in an “Issues Forum.” Collaborate to organize panel discussions with experts, in-person or online town halls with candidates, or even smaller conversations within your social network. Invite people you know who might be interested, and ask them to invite their friends. Learn where your local candidates stand on the issues. Prepare a list of questions to get the conversation started. Share information from our resources with voters in your communities, and remind everyone that their vote has the power to strengthen our economic security, education, reproductive & general health, and our democracy!
